I love to do commissions for new paintings. Whether it's for your home or office space, I like to take the time to discuss what it is you specifically want - from subject matter to colour palette to overall feeling. There is nothing I love more than bringing your creative vision to life.
It's important to know that I also work from my heart when I create art. I let my feelings guide my creative process and I trust those instincts - which is why the first question I'll ask you when I start designing your piece is, "What do you want to feel?"
This piece will be with you for a long time. Make sure it fits.
Each piece is one of a kind. In a world based on a copy of a copy of a copy, wouldn't it be nice to own a small piece of something wholly original?
Whatever you want, I can deliver.

NYC (2020, 12 x 15" Acrylic on Canvas)
I love painting holiday gifts and the challenge of abstracting architecture and customizing the design and colour palette for the client.
I'm not comfortable with yellow AT ALL!
But I think it turned out and I don't hate it :) What a joy!

New Life ( 2020, 48 x 48" Acrylic on Canvas)
This was a joy to paint over the span of four months. I had no deadline which meant that I could explore colours and feelings in a new way; especially on such a huge canvas!
Photographs will never do this piece justice. There are so many layers and textures wrapped in there.
I was glad to paint it this year - it was the therapeutic commission I needed.

Abstract Rottweiler (2020)
30 x 40 inches
Acrylic on canvas
Another commission that pushes me well beyond my comfort zone.
BOUQUET (2020, 18 x 24" Acrylic on Canvas)
This was a new type of commission and ultimately, proof that my mental health thrives on doing new things. Change is good. Stepping out of my comfort zone is good. I didn't think I'd be able to paint flowers that were in any way discernable and yet, this has been one of the more therapeutic paintings of 2020. I think I'll paint more flowers - even if it's just for myself. I'm holding on tightly to the mental health aspect of this form of expression. We're all struggling this year, but I think I found a bit of hope in this process. |

St James Cathedral (2019, 24 x 30" Acrylic on Canvas)
This commission will soon be hanging in its new home in Toronto.
I'm grateful for paintings like these that push me outside of my comfort zone.
