I am a self-taught visual artist whose work is driven by emotion. As human beings our lives are in constant flux and I seek to capture those in between moments when time stands still and where feelings cannot be ignored. I like the idea of putting this fleeting, intangible, bubbling sensation on a canvas and making it permanent.
Struggling to express a voice that is authentically my own, I believe in the transformative power of art, both emotionally and mentally. I'm a strong advocate for art as therapy and I want to inspire others dealing with their own hurdles to express themselves creatively, to share their voice without fear of judgement, and to ultimately heal whatever has been wounded.
Born in Waterloo, Ontario, I've received my Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees from Wilfrid Laurier University and am now working towards my Bachelor of Education at the University of Ottawa, the city where I currently reside. I'm passionate about my craft and inspiring the next generation to express themselves through visual arts.
